Sophos Anti-Virus awarded Trojan Checkmark certification
Independent research and test centre West Coast Labs has awarded Sophos Anti-Virus with its prestigious Trojan certification, complementing Sophos's other Checkmark certifications for virus detection (Level 1) and disinfection (Level 2). For Sophos Anti-Virus to be certified with the Trojan Checkmark, the product had to detect all Trojans in the Trojan test suite, which is regularly updated by West Coast Labs.
"We are delighted that Sophos has been awarded Checkmark's Trojan detection certification. Trojans can be pretty nasty, and no legitimate company wants them to sneak onto their network," said Carole Theriault, security consultant at Sophos. "By achieving the Trojan Checkmark, particularly when complemented by our other Checkmark certifications, Sophos has demonstrated its ability to make first-class expert security products."The Checkmark system has been developed by West Coast Labs, an independent research and test centre. It provides a reliable means of authenticating products and certifying those of the highest quality.
