Sophos announces new EMEA leadership structure headed by Annie Gay Annie Gay named vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa
To support the company's rapid growth in Europe, Sophos, a world leader in IT security and control, has today announced that Annie Gay has been promoted to vice president EMEA to lead the firm's business operations in the region.
Annie, who has been with the company since 2000, will also oversee the firm's sales and service operations throughout EMEA which includes the UK, France Germany, Italy and Spain and extends through to Russia, CIS countries and India.
Annie will relocate to Sophos's headquarters just outside Oxford, UK, where the new EMEA operation is to be headed.
"Since she joined Sophos, Annie has proven herself to be a leader who thoroughly understands our international markets and will help us expand our business throughout the EMEA region," said Steve Munford, CEO of Sophos. "Our growth over the past few years has been remarkable and I know that Annie has all it takes to further the momentum that we are developing in the EMEA markets and lead the strategy to build upon our successes to date."
Before joining the company, Annie was General Manager for Olivetti Computers Worldwide in France, where she built the channel business and developed sales with key account customers. Prior to joining Olivetti, she was General Manager France for Information Builders, and held senior international positions in general management, finance and operations within Texas Instruments.
Annie, who holds an MBA from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris and has served as Managing Director of Sophos Sarl since October 2000 before being named VP of Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa last March.
