W32/Agent-IIB is a worm for the Windows platform.

W32/Agent-IIB includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.

When first run W32/Agent-IIB copies itself to:

<Windows>\regsvr.exe
<System>\regsvr.exe
<System>\svchost .exe

and creates the following files:

<System>\dotnetfx.dll
<System>\setting.ini
<System>\setup.ini

The file dotnetfx.dll is detected as W32/Autorun-OQ and the file setup.ini is detected as Troj/Agent-GXM.

The following registry entry is created to run regsvr.exe on startup:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Msn Messsenger
<System>\regsvr.exe

The following registry entry is changed to run regsvr.exe on startup:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Shell
Explorer.exe regsvr.exe

The following registry entry is created to run code exported by dotnetfx.dll on startup:
