SAV Interface: updating on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003

Updating Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 will also update SAV Interface.

What to do

You can update an installation of SAV Interface on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 automatically with EM Library.

To perform a manual monthly upgrade:

Download Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 and run it.
Click 'Central installation' to update the Central Installation Directory (CID).
Sophos Anti-Virus will automatically update itself the next time it checks for an update.

To update with an IDE file:

Copy the IDE file into the CID (not into the Sophos Anti-Virus folder). By default, for Intel, this is C:\Program Files\Sophos SWEEP for NT\NTInst\i386.
Change to the CID and run the command

SETUP /UPDATE
Sophos Anti-Virus will automatically update itself the next time it checks for an update.

The application will automatically use the updated version of SAV Interface, so SAVI.DLL will not need to be updated.
