Configuring logging

For each scanning job, you can specify the types of event recorded in each of the three log files that PureMessage uses.

  1. In the PureMessage console tree, click a scanning job (e.g. 'Mail (real-time)').
  2. A set of tabbed pages is displayed in the details pane.
  3. Click the Logging tab.

To open the PureMessage console, double-click the PureMessage icon on your desktop.
  1. In the PureMessage console tree, click 'Logging'.
  2. The 'Log file' page is displayed in the details pane.

By default, the PureMessage for Windows/Exchange log file will be written to the 'Program Files\SOPHOS\PureMessage\Logs' folder in the administration (hidden) share on the PureMessage server.
