EM Library: error 0x80010105 when downloading
When downloading packages from the Sophos databank, the following message is found in the Message log:
Error 0x80010105. Your Central Installation Directories (CIDs) cannot update.
If you are using EM Library console, you will also see a list of computers reporting 'Not updated since.....' and displaying an old date.
This failure to update may be caused by the corruption of some files in EM Library.
What to do
Uninstall EM Library and reinstall it. Details of how to do this are given in the Sophos
Alternatively, try either of the following:
- Open the '...\Sophos enterprise manager\library\index' folder.
- If the file 00000001.tmp or 00000002.tmp is there, delete it.
- Update the library.
or
- Remove all the files in the '...\Sophos enterprise manager\library\index' folder other than '00000000.db'. This will roll back to the start of the library installation wizard.
- Re-enter your EM Library username, password and any proxy settings.
