Sophos Client Firewall: error message "Disk error" from ODBC under Windows XP

In some circumstances you may get "Disk error" from ODBC when running the Sophos Client Firewall on Windows XP.

What to do

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel (Start|Control Panel then 'Performance and Maintenance' in Category view).
  2. Select 'System'.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Click 'Environment Variables'.
  5. Look at the TMP folder name in the 'User variables' field.
  6. Check to see if this folder is present on your hard drive.
  7. If this folder is absent, create it.
