Advisory: Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+ improvements to Extensive scanning mode may cause slower scanning
Sophos have improved the Extensive scanning option in Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+ , version 7.0.1 and above, to include new and improved checking for invasive malware.
Extensive scanning is 'Off' by default, but if you have configured your computers to use Extensive scanning, you should be aware that scanning speeds may be affected by these extra checks.
