What to do

Sophos Control Center

  1. In Sophos Control Center, click 'Configure firewall', then click 'Next'.
  2. Turn on the firewall (recommended)
  3. In Custom settings, select 'Allow file and print sharing'.
  4. Select 'Create custom rules'|Customize.
  5. Click 'Global rules'|Add, and enter a name for the Rule.
  6. Specify the direction, address (local and\or remote), and port (local and\or remote).
  7. Under the Rule description specify the protocol (TCP, IP or UDP)

Sophos Enterprise Console

  1. In the Sophos Enterprise Console, click 'Firewall' then click 'Next'.
  2. Right-click the policy you wish to edit (example Default)
  3. Select View\Edit policy.
  4. Click 'Global Rules'|Add, and enter a name for the Rule.
  5. Specify direction, address (local and\or remote), and port (local and\or remote).
  6. Under the Rule description specify the protocol (TCP, IP or UDP).
