EM Library: downloads fail and log reports 'Proxy Authenication Required.....'

Issue
Packages are not downloading. Updates are not occurring.
The EM Library message log displays warning messages similar to:

Sophos product and version
EM Library 1.3

Operating system
Windows 2000
Windows 2003

What to do

  1. Check your proxy settings used to access the internet. Ensure you have the correct IP address.
  2. Check to see if authentication is required to go via your proxy server. If it is, ensure that you are using the correct username and password.
